ZOO 117 1.0 Histology
This course unit is aimed to provide comprehensive theoretical and practical knowledge to the first year students who follow Zoology. A the successful completion of the lecture series, the student will be able to achieve a broad knowledge about the main tissues present in the human body, including their histological description, functions etc. They also will develop their hands on training on histological preparation of basic tissues (Ex; Blood, Cartilage. Liver etc) and also to distinguish differences in these tissues. This is the only course unit which cover all the aspects of Histology. It also provide baseline information which is prerequisite to many other course units such as Comparative Functional Anatomy, Animal Physiology and many more.
