This course will cover different types of cloning vectors, different DNA manipulating enzymes, restriction enzymes, and mapping, DNA ligation, selection of clone, and gel electrophoresis. Further, we will explore different labeling techniques, isolating a gene from the genomic library and cDNA library, genomic organization, and mapping. Finally w,e will discover the wonders of applications of recombinant DNA technology in medicine, agriculture, industry, and ethical implications in recombinant DNA technology.
