This course introduces some of the basic laws of physics. Topics include systems of units, Newtonian mechanics, fluids and thermodynamics.

Objectives:
Give the students an exposure to physics concepts and understanding of fundamental physics concepts and their applications, in the topics: Mechanics, Material properties and thermodynamics. Additionally, to apply the scientific reasoning and mathematical calculations to solve problems related to physical applications.
